Dropped Out: Tennessee (#16), Boston College (#18), Pittsburgh (#23), Virginia Tech (#24).

This is easily the most difficult ranking of the season. Trying to reconcile one week’s worth of games with my highly subjective preseason guesses is an exercise in madness. Not to mention, I was in the wilderness and have only seen a handful of games via TiVo. Still, I am compelled to submit a poll.

Let’s start with the losers. Tennessee, Boston College, Pittsburgh, and Virginia Tech all dropped out of the poll this week. If you uttering to yourself, “Boston College did not lose this past weekend,” give yourself bonus points. But they did struggle with one of the worst teams in America so it is considered a loss in the land of Blog Poll.

What are we smoking? The Tide enters the poll at 16, which is probably a Buckeye Commentary Blog Poll record for entry, but we are too lazy to do the research at the moment. Even though the video shows them pantsing Clemson at every possible moment, we feel a little squeamish about this one. After all, they lost to Louisiana Monroe less than twelve months ago.

Oh yeah, Missouri moves down because they wasted eleven scholarships on that starting defense. I thought Ohio State made Juice look good, but 400 yards passing!?! Can you imagine what Harrell, Bradford, and McCoy will look like?

Yeah, we play them soon. USC jumped to #2 and we could have placed them at numero uno without a problem. Did you see that defense? Beanie has to play. We will pay for the foot transplant if necessary.
